20 Things Highly Successful People Don’t Do@@

Read More Click Here

Success is defined as “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” So it goes with saying that highly successful people are better at accomplishing their goals.
If you want to find success in your life it’s important to understand what successful people do … and the things they don’t do. Here are 20 things they avoid:

They don’t define success with money.

Successful people aren’t necessarily wealthy … but they’re usually happy. Happiness defines their success more than money.

They don’t make important decisions on a whim.

Successful people think before they act, especially when it comes to important decisions.

They don’t underestimate the importance of planning.

People who are successful keep at least one journal to plan their schedule and track their progress. Many people even keep two journals: one for personal planning and one for scheduling/work.

They don’t go to sleep until their to-do list is done.

Highly successful people always finish what’s on their to-do list. And it makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside.

They don’t make their to-do list overwhelmingly large.

Keeping a to-do list is essential, but so is keeping your list of tasks manageable. Successful people don’t bite off more than they can chew. They keep their to-do list small and scalable.

They don’t set unrealistic goals.

People who accomplish great things in life set specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-driven (SMART) goals. “I want to lose weight,” is not a good goal. “I will lose 10 pounds by the end of this year,” is.

They don’t work for hours on end.

Successful people work in small increments and take frequent breaks. This helps them get more done in less time.

They don’t sleep the day away.

Early risers get more done, plain and simple. The hours you have in each day are limited. Successful people go to bed at the same time every night and get up early, refreshed and ready to conquer their day.

They don’t put others before their family.

Successful folks put family first. Work is important, but never as important as experiencing life with the people you love most.

They don’t work harder, they work smarter.

Successful people don’t necessarily work harder. They do work smarter though. They focus 80 percent of their efforts on the 20 percent of work that will give them the greatest return (this is called the Pareto principle).

They don’t always get what they want.

Let’s face it: life doesn’t always give you what you want. The difference between people who find success and those who don’t is successful people are willing to make sacrifices for the greater good.

They don’t go a day without giving thanks.

Successful people make it a point to write down the things they’re thankful for every day.

They don’t walk past the homeless guy in the street without giving him some of their money or time.

“Success” is also defined by how much you give back. That’s why truly successful people will always stop to help someone in need and give their time or money freely.

They don’t drink too much.

Yes, successful folks like to unwind with a couple of drinks and socialize with friends. But they stay in control and don’t drink themselves into making bad decisions.

They don’t let themselves go.

You’ll also find that successful people are usually healthier. They take care of their bodies and minds and make the time to eat healthy and exercise frequently.

They don’t let bad habits control them.

Highly successful people find ways to turn bad habits into good ones.

They don’t know everything … and that’s okay with them.

Another measure of a successful person is this: they’re thirsty for knowledge. They know what they know, and more importantly, they know what they don’t know.

They don’t care what other people think about them.

Highly successful people ignore the naysayers and the pessimists. They surround themselves with people who are going to make them better.

They don’t back down from adversity.

Another trait of successful people is that they choose to see challenges and moments of adversity as opportunities to grow.

They don’t stop.

Highly successful people are relentless in their pursuit of a happier, healthier life. They go to great lengths to achieve success … but don’t stop there. Successful people constantly find ways to continue to improve themselves. They believe success is a choice, and they choose to focus their time and energy on the things that will lead them to that success.

Are You Coachable?@@

As sponsors and business coaches, we always tell our newbies and business partners that they must be coachable to experience success in network marketing…so I started to think about what does being coachable actually mean…imagesCARIZIEO

I came across an article on Forbes by August Turak called,“Are You Coachable? The Five Steps to Coachability”.Turak discussed that coachable people have five distinct traits and I put a little of my own spin on these traits also:
  1. Humility- Turak in the article said it best, We have to accept that some things that we need to do we just can not do on our own. Which requires “a change of heart rather than a change of mind”.imagesCAVE0EBL
  2. An Aciton Bias- You have to get off your butt and go to work…No reaction can happen without action!
  3. Purity of Purpose-You cannot be selfish…at times you have to take yourself totally out of the equation and think of your customer, your prospect or whoever you are trying to satisfy a need or assist achieving a dream. You will be surprised how many blessings will come your way when you put energy into blessing others.
  4. Surrender of Control-This is a biggie and as Turak states in the article is the trait that we give our mentors the hardest time with. Just as human beings we tend to not want to give up control unless we see results first. It usually happens the other way around..we see results when we finally listen and give up control and do what has been proven to work.imagesCAKEE39O
  5. Faith-This is the fifth and final trait. What stood out for me when Turak was discussing this trait is when he stated,“The problem with life is that it must be lived forward and only understood backwards. In my own experience this is especially true when it comes to working with a coach. The benefits of change are often only obvious after the change has occurred”.
imagesCA231T6AThese traits from the article really gave me something to consider when I think about being truly coachable. You have to be open and willing to learn new information and accept proven methods that your mentors are trying to convey to you. It is a must to invest in you and your business. It is imperative to become a life long learner to be truly successful in your journey.

To Receive You Must Give@@

Even though this concept should be a no-brainer very few people actually get it and understand it. “Giving is a small and insignificant act that actually has tremendous effects on you and your business.” Giving should be part of your marketing strategy if you want to get results from your online business. Helping others to be successful or solve problems is the key to a thriving and successful business.
The more people you help the more people will share what you do by word of mouth and more people will stay customers of your business. The more value you offer others the more valuable you become. Instead of focusing all of your efforts getting the sale…focus most of your efforts helping your business partners succeed and providing solutions to your customers’ problems.
Do favors for others and get favors in return…
In the book , Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, Robert Cialdini mentions the rule of reciprocation in which he says, “The rule says that we should try to repay, in kind what another person has provided us.”
Usually we feel that we are obligated when individuals do something special for us. We want to do the same for those people and do something special for them. This has been going on for centuries. People would share resources to survive and thrive. All human societies today follow the rule of reciprocation in some way.
How can you use this rule for your business? Go above and beyond with assisting business partners and customers. Give them something of value without expecting anything in return…and most often you will get something in return…a successful team and repeat customers.
Word of mouth gets around really fast…
Giving back, especially in business, indirectly benefits your brand and reputation. If you commit an act, good or bad, that energy in one way or another usually finds its way back to you. We hear that all the time…Giving back to others in with goodness in heart and mind actually help build ourselves up.
A great way to make meaningful business connections is to make your introduction to others in the form of giving value…an instructional video, an e-book, a business building tip, a motivational quote or something of value in creative way…

this opens up your network reach and you will find that your kindness will be reciprocated in some way… Giving time and your expert knowledge benefits everyone

…Always having a giving attitude you may also notice an increase in business relationships, customers and business partners…

People want to see how your business benefits people…believe it or not they are not interested in our profits. If you are giving great customer service and going all out to support our teams, your business should grow by leaps and bounds.
To Your Success,

5 Time Management Tips To Maximize Your Efficiency@@

Read More Navigate Here

We’re all getting busier it seems. We cram more and more into each day. Me, I have a full-time career, I’m a husband and new Dad, and I use my spare time to work on my personal finance blog. Sometimes I feel like time is managing me, not the other way around. It can be frustrating.
But, because I know this happens to us all occasionally, I thought I’d refresh myself and you on some of the best productivity tips around. Let’s get back on track together. You’ll need two things: a blank sheet of paper (or a simple text editor), and a daily calendar.

1. Create a Priority List – First, take time right now to create a simple to-do list. Write down all of the things that you need to get done. Be sure and add things that need to be completed now, as well as things that can wait a while. Some people suggest using a mind map to get everything out.
Now that you have a list of things to do, assign a priority to each one. Use a simple “ABC/123″ format to get this done. “A” can represent your most urgent, most important items. Use “B” for those things that are important, but might not be urgent. Lastly, use “C” to identify things that aren’t that important or urgent, but that you’d like to get done, time permitting. The “1,2,3,…” can be used to further prioritize the items within each category.

2. Fill Up Your Calendar – Next, take your list and fill up your daily calendar with these items. Your calendar should already have your appointments and meetings, so just fill in the gaps with these to-do items. Use a conservative approach and be realistic about the time it will take to complete your tasks. Build in plenty of buffer for breaks, emergencies, and interruptions.

3. Plan for Tomorrow Today – Be sure to build in a few minutes at the end of your day to plan for the next. During this time, reference your prioritized to-do list (to note which items you haven’t completed) and fill out the next day’s activity.

4. Eat the Biggest Frog First – When putting the to-do items on your calendar, be conscious of when you’re most productive. Since most of us are most productive first thing in the morning, it’s best to schedule your most difficult tasks then. But you know when you’re most productive. So, plan to work on your most difficult tasks then.

5. Fight Back Against Barriers – Lastly, make a quick list of your biggest time management barriers and decide on an action to fight back. Common barriers include: interruptions, lack of organization, perfectionism, inability to say no, etc. Barriers can’t be totally prevented, but we can take steps to avoid them or at least minimize their impact.
Final Thoughts:
Another thing to remember is Time is Money…
We must budget our time as if it is money…every hour is dollars and every minute is cents…
We need to spend every minute we budget for our business for just that our business or we end up wasting time then we lose money not completing IPA’s which are income producing activities…
Top three Income Producing Activities (IPAs):  Prospecting, Building Relationships and Following up with customers and prospective business partners.
We must help our team members use their time efficiently to grow their business by establishing a time management system.
